Fumigations – Fumigation
Fumigation is the fastest and most effective pest control method for residential spaces, both domestic and professional. Through the fumigation method, using a phosphine product, stored-product insects are controlled in products, ensuring the elimination of insects at all stages of their development: egg, larva, pupa, adult insect.
This specific method is applied by PROSTASIA for:
- Products such as wheat, corn, barley, oats or other cereals, flour, legumes, various nuts, aromatic plants, dried tobacco, etc.
- Furniture, timber, and wooden structures of residences.
- Storage areas, silos using the innovative J-SYSTEM method, and other spaces.
Application of Fumigations
The application of fumigation includes three stages. Initially, a thorough inspection of the airtightness of the space is carried out to ensure that there is no possible leakage of the product, because, in addition to loss of the product, it may cause problems to non-target organisms such as animals and humans.
Then, the product is dispersed in the space for a period of time estimated by the Responsible Scientists, in order to achieve the complete elimination of insects at all their stages.
The duration of fumigation is estimated by the specialists depending on the species they are called to treat, the volume of the space, the temperature of the season, etc.
Finally, after the completion of the fumigation works, the space must be ventilated for a period of time according to the needs of each space.
Afterwards, the experienced Technical and Scientific team of our company inspects the space to determine whether it has been sufficiently ventilated, so that it is safe for use, taking all necessary measures. All applications are carried out with particular sensitivity to safety issues for the employees who perform the applications, under the supervision and responsibility of a specialized scientist, Agronomist or Chemist, as required by Greek Legislation.
